NYPD Red Series in Order
1. NYPD Red (2012)
Manhattan is filled with celebrities, producers, directors, paparazzi, and fans. Restaurants are closed for private parties, red carpet and limousines are everywhere. It’s ‘Hollywood on the Hudson’ week and NYPD Red is on high alert amidst this glamorous film festival.
Detective Zach Jordan is getting a new (not unfamiliar) partner, Detective Kylie MacDonald. Jordan and MacDonald met at the academy and boy do they have a history.
Distinguished producer Sid Roth collapses during a breakfast social at the Regency Hotel and while Detectives Jordan and MacDonald are investigating the case, another horrific ‘accident’ takes place on a set at Silver Cup Studios.
A deranged and disgruntled wanna-be actor has a whole script of crimes up his sleeve and each is more sinister than the last. NYPD Red must stop this psychopath before it’s too late.
2. NYPD Red 2 (2014)
Detectives Zach Jordan and Kylie MacDonald are called to a crime scene in Central Park. Nobody could be prepared for what they were about to find.
They find a carousel spinning round and round, its painted horses grinning eerily in the early morning dark. There is only one rider: a brutally slaughtered woman, her body tied up and dressed in a Hazmat suit, on display for the world to see. The victim, a woman of vast wealth and even greater connections is the fourth in a string of shocking murders that have hit the city.
As the public pressure mounts and political and personal secrets of the highest order hang in the balance, Zach and Kylie must find out what’s really behind the murderer’s rampage. But Kylie has been acting strange recently-and Zach knows whatever she’s hiding could threaten the biggest case of their careers.
3. NYPD Red 3 (2015)
Zach and Kylie’s New Year’s celebrations are cut short when they’re called to the home of billionaire businessman Hunter Alden Jr. after he makes a grisly discovery in his townhouse garage.
Alden’s teenage son goes missing soon afterward and his father seems oddly reluctant to find him. Zach and Kylie find themselves in the middle of a chilling conspiracy that threatens everyone in its wake-especially their city’s most powerful citizens.
4. NYPD Red 4 (2016)
New York’s most elite police force chases a ruthless murderer with an uncontrollable lust for money and blood.
It’s another glamorous night in the heart of Manhattan. At a glitzy movie premiere, a gorgeous starlet dripping in millions of dollars’ worth of jewelry makes her way past a horde of fans and paparazzi. But then there’s a sudden loud noise, an even louder scream, and a vicious crime with millions of witnesses and no suspect.
From celebrity penthouses to the depths of Manhattan’s criminal underworld, Zach and Kylie are soon in hot pursuit of a cold-blooded killer with everything to lose, and millions to gain if he can just shake the detectives on his trail. With the city on edge, the mayor out of patience, and the flames of their personal relationship threatening to reignite and ruin everything, Zach and Kylie are facing down their worst fears-and their most dangerous enemy yet.
5. Red Alert (2018)
The richest of New York’s rich gather at The Pierre’s Cotillion Room to raise money for those less fortunate. A fatal blast rocks the room, stirring up horrifying memories of 9/11. Is the explosion an act of terrorism or a homicide?
A big-name female filmmaker is the next to die in a desolate corner of New York City. Detectives Zach Jordan and Kylie MacDonald investigate. But the crimes keep escalating as a shadowy killer masterfully plays out his vendetta and threatens to take down NYPD Red in the bargain.
6. NYPD Red 6 (2020)
The most lavish wedding of the season invites the most brazen kidnapper in New York City to make the bride disappear.
Reality star Erin Easton’s “Wedding of the Century” may have a cable crew documenting every extravagant bridal detail. But when “Airhead Easton” disappears from the reception, it’s no diva turn. Her dressing room is empty but for a blood-spattered wedding gown and signs of a struggle.
Detective Kylie MacDonald of NYPD Red, already on-scene as a plus-one, loops in her partner, Detective Zach Jordan to activate Level One mobilization for this PR nightmare. But when Erin’s “proof of life” video makes it to air, rather than to evidence. Every A-lister on the guest list becomes a target of suspicion or just a target.
